Obama!

Barack Obama wins Iowa! Fantastic, I thought to myself! Could this be like good omen, some way to announce a good forthcoming year ahead? I choose to believe so. Obama wins Iowa, a state with mostly a white population, and has had the power to move even those not very much politically involved. Obama inspires change, viable change. He wins ahead of Edwards and Clinton with 38% of votes. This is much more than a non-white entering the race for presidency. This looks like a man with vision and principles raising a wave of change from a fundamentalist regime in a conservative country. I have a good feeling about this, Obama could do good for the world. Let’s wait and see..

A New Year. My 24th.

It’s been long since my last post. I’ve been busy. And part of a series of dark events for my family and I. But hopefully, all this is behind now. 2008 sets out to be a wonderful year. Am completing my degree, planning on a trip to Europe (Amsterdam, Barcelona, Prague, amongst others if i can and will afford), working on some prestigious web development projects and all while making room for a series of unexpected events. I’ve been browsing last year’s pics and reminescing about the good times we’ve had. This is an inexhaustive list and i’ll share just a few as 2007’s main headlines..

• David Guetta concert at la Citadelle – Met Zorze for the first time after he returned from India.
• June – July 07 – the clubbing addiction; 3 days a week. We were out nearly every night.
• October – November 07 – secured major web development contracts. made quite a few corporate contacts.
• Camper Halloween – Noush & Yaku joined in for crazy night.
• Concerts – Gaudino, Guetta, Vendetta (the best), Goa, Tiesto, Raphael (the worst)..
• Friends – nearly everyone abroad returned to Mu in 07. Shared great moments. Avinash even made it for 2 weeks, after 4 years! Youvan got a scholarship and flew to France, but returned for his sis’s wedding. was a blast!
• Academic – started CCNA and passed mod1 with 92%. CPA dropped by only 0.4%.
• Movies – 2007 was bliss! countless fabulous movies..
• Equipment – Nokia 6120 in replacement of 3310 . Macbook Pro. P5DQ6 monster pc.

Those with whom I’ve spent 2007 will know that this is just a glimpse of the good times we’ve had. We’ve not made many new friends but we’ve realised what the few we have are worth and old bonds have been strengthened (with good smokes :p). Many who watch “That 70’s show” will envy Foreman’s basement. We got no less: Pom’s rooftop!
