Speaking of Monsters

July 25, 2007

You’ll call it a folly,.. and I’ll probably agree. But nothing equals the pleasure of owning a powerful piece of equipment ;) My workstation is finally set up. With the lappy gone a while ago, the need for computing performance was felt once again.. The new monster in town is a Core 2 Duo mounted on a Quad Core Gigabyte P35-DQ6, running an FSB speed of 1333 MHz and DDR speed of up to 1066 MHz. The mobo also features ATI Crossfire, Blu-ray\HD support, DTS, 8 X SATA II at 3 Gb\s, FireWire, 8 channel audio and Gigabit LAN. Chipset: Intel P35 (drooool!) ;)

Powered by 2 X 1Gb RAM modules and hosting a RAID-5 4 X 200 GB HardDisk dock, the beast is out to kick ass. And for unequalled gaming performance, kindly add a GeForce 7300 GT with 256 MB DDR2. I’ve added a firewire + USB card which sums up my USB ports to 14, enough to satisfy my greedy connectivity requirements. :D Well down with the show-off for now, let’s see what the beast’s got!
